Went to Arima today- walked around, tried the foot bath, went up to the waterfall. A word of advice for anyone thinking of going to the waterfall there. DON'T use the bathroom there. Even if you have to go behind a tree, it would be safer and more sanitary. It isn't just a lack of cleaning. No, the place could be used as the set of the next cheap horror movie involving spiders. The stalls were COATED with webs. the ceiling was white, and not from paint. There were spiders all over the ceiling, each half as big as my hand and bright yellow. 

I went hiking today, saw a snake, about half the length of my arm. It didn't bother me, and I took a photo before continuing on. Later, though, I saw a snake as long as my arm and really thick- I turned back.
